30.12.2015

26% of UNISTREAM Commercial Bank (SC) shares, earlier held by the British company AURORA RUSSIA LIMITED, were acquired by some investors that had no relation to the shareholding structure before.

AURORA RUSSIA LIMITED was mainly engaged in financing small and mid-sized Russian enterprises, focusing on Russian financial and consumer services markets. Since 2013 the Foundation started disposing of its Russian assets, the share in UNISTREAM Commercial Bank (SC) being the residual investment, kept by the Company in Russia.

At the time the Company announced its plans to dispose of its share in UNISTREAM Commercial Bank (SC), it also stated the plans to end up its activities in Russia and use the released cash for distribution to the Foundation shareholders.

Having the minority interest in UNISTREAM Commercial Bank (SC) the Foundation AURORA RUSSIA LIMITED did not take part in the actual operational activities of the company.

The fact that AURORA RUSSIA LIMITED is no longer a shareholder of UNISTREAM Commercial Bank (SC) will have no impact on the bank’s strategy, adopted by the shareholders for the period up to 2018. The priority fields of the company development are to increase its share at the market of remittances and money transfers, to develop banking products and services for bank payment agents, as well as small and mid-sized enterprises, and to expand the range of bank and associated services for individuals.
